At the beginning of the book of Revelation we find this promise: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it ” (Rev. 1:3). Then, at the end we read again: “Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book” (Rev. 22:7).

Over six sessions, Nancy Guthrie will take us through chapters 12-22 of Revelation. At each step along the way we’re going to ask and answer the question, “What will it mean for us to hear and keep this part of Revelation?” We want the perspective of heaven that was revealed to John to shape our perspectives about life and death, the present and the future, about what is meaningful and beautiful and worthwhile.

The six sessions of the study will include:

Monday 9 Jan - Session 1: Blessed by Living and Dying in Jesus (Revelation 12–14)

Monday 16 Jan - Session 2: Blessed by Being Ready for the Return of Jesus (Revelation 15–16)

Monday 23 Jan - Session 3: Blessed by Being Prepared as a Bride for Jesus (Revelation 17:1–19:10)

Monday 30 Jan - Session 4: Blessed by Sharing in the Resurrection of Jesus (Revelation 19:11–20:15)

Monday 6 Feb - Session 5: Blessed by Living in the New Creation with Jesus (Revelation 21:1–22:5)

Monday 13 Feb - Session 6: Blessed by Keeping the Words of Jesus (Revelation 22:6–21)

We will see that Revelation is less about when Jesus will return and more about who we are to be, what we are to do, and what we can expect to endure as we wait for Jesus to return to establish his kingdom in the new creation.
